The recommendation is a rule, not a guess
There's no model quietly deciding for you. Every recommendation comes from a small set of written rules, and the result page tells you which of your answers triggered which part of it. If you disagree with the reasoning, you can see exactly where to push back.
We'd rather tell you what a wig isn't good at
Every style page has a section on what's genuinely harder about it. Density that looks incredible in photos is heavier in July. Longer hair tangles more. You'll make a better choice knowing that than not.

- 13x4 lacevs13x6 laceThe numbers are inches of lace — 13 across, then 4 or 6 deep. The extra two inches on a 13x6 buys you parting freedom. If you part in one place and leave it, that's freedom you'll pay for and never use.
- Human hairvsSyntheticSynthetic arrives styled and stays that way, which makes it the low-effort choice and the one that can't be changed. Human hair needs styling after every wash and can be cut, coloured and heated like your own. Pick on how much work you want to do, not on which is better — neither is.

Do you sell wigs here?
No. This site only helps you decide. The wigs we recommend are sold by SoftWig, which we also run — we say so on every page rather than burying it.
How do you decide what to recommend?
A written set of rules, not a model. The result page shows you which of your answers led to which part of the suggestion, so you can disagree with the reasoning rather than just the conclusion.
What if I already own a wig and something is wrong with it?
That's a different job, and we keep it on a different site. BestWigStyles works through problems with wigs you already have — shedding, tangling, lace that won't sit.
